Product Overview

The polyester filament geotextile from Bingo Pipeline is a spunbond needle-punched nonwoven made from 100% polyester filament. Its three-dimensional fibre structure delivers high tensile strength, excellent puncture resistance and reliable filtration performance, which is why the polyester filament geotextile is widely specified for roads, railways, embankments, landfills and water conservancy projects.

Supplied in rolls from 1 m to 6 m wide and from 100 g/m² to 800 g/m², the polyester filament geotextile covers everything from light separation layers to heavy-duty reinforcement and protection layers. Every roll is produced under an ISO 9001 quality system and tested for mass deviation, thickness, breaking strength and CBR puncture.

Key Features

  • High tensile strength: the polyester filament geotextile reaches 4.5 - 40 kN/m in both machine and cross directions, giving dependable reinforcement for soft subgrades.
  • Excellent puncture resistance: CBR puncture values from 0.8 kN to 7 kN protect the polyester filament geotextile from sharp aggregate during installation.
  • Reliable filtration and drainage: a controlled pore range of 0.07 - 0.2 mm lets water pass while retaining soil particles, keeping the polyester filament geotextile from clogging.
  • Chemical and biological durability: the polyester filament geotextile resists acid, alkali, micro-organisms and rot across the pH 2 - 12 range.
  • UV stabilised: after three months of outdoor exposure the polyester filament geotextile retains more than 70% of its tensile and puncture strength.
  • Easy handling: light rolls and 1 - 6 m widths let crews lay, overlap and cut the polyester filament geotextile quickly with simple tools.

Production

Raw Material

The polyester filament geotextile is made from 100% virgin polyester filament, formed by spunbond extrusion and consolidated by needle punching. No recycled fluff or filler fibre is used, so the polyester filament geotextile keeps a consistent mass and pore structure from roll to roll.

Production Process

Filaments are spun, laid into a web and needled into a three-dimensional structure. Line speed, needle density and web weight are monitored continuously so that each grade of polyester filament geotextile meets its declared thickness, permeability and strength targets.

Quality Control

Every batch of polyester filament geotextile is sampled for mass per unit area, thickness, breaking strength, elongation, CBR puncture, trapezoid tear and equivalent aperture. Certificates are issued with the roll labels and are traceable to the production record of each polyester filament geotextile roll.

Applications

  • Road and railway subgrade separation: the polyester filament geotextile separates granular base from soft subgrade and prevents aggregate loss.
  • Embankment and slope protection: the polyester filament geotextile reinforces fill slopes and river banks against erosion.
  • Landfill and waste containment: the polyester filament geotextile acts as a protective cushion under geomembrane liners.
  • Drainage and filtration layers: the polyester filament geotextile wraps French drains, retaining walls and drainage trenches.
  • Water conservancy and coastal works: the polyester filament geotextile is used in canals, reservoirs, sea walls and revetments.
