Product Overview

1/2" – 6" (DN 15–160mm), Schedule 40/80, light-yellow color. CPVC pipe for hot and cold water supply, chemical processing, and industrial systems. Conforms to ASTM F441 and ISO 15877.

CPVC pipe is extruded from virgin chlorinated PVC compound in light-yellow SCH40 and SCH80 series, operating continuously to 93°C and resisting the acids, alkalis and corrosive media that attack steel — with fast solvent-cement jointing and a 50+ year design life.

Key Features

  • High Temperature Resistance: CPVC pipe withstands continuous service up to 93°C (200°F) — far above the limit of standard UPVC — making it suitable for hot water and high-temperature industrial fluids.
  • Excellent Chemical Resistance: CPVC pipe outperforms PVC-U against acids, alkalis, salts and many corrosive process chemicals, with no internal rust or scale contaminating the media.
  • SCH40 & SCH80 in One Range: CPVC pipes are supplied in both Schedule 40 for general hot and cold water service and Schedule 80 heavy walls for higher pressures and mechanical abuse, with inch sizes 1/2"–6" matching US-spec CPVC fittings and valves.
  • High Impact Strength: SCH80 CPVC pipe provides outstanding mechanical strength and crush resistance for industrial installations.
  • Light Yellow Color Coding: The light-yellow color of CPVC pipe instantly distinguishes it from standard PVC-U on site, reducing cross-connection risk during installation and maintenance.
  • Two Jointing Options: CPVC pipe accepts solvent-cement sockets with CPVC-grade cement for permanent plastic-to-plastic joints, or threaded ends for direct connection to metal equipment, pumps and instruments.
  • Long Service Life: Non-corrosive, non-scaling CPVC pipe delivers 50+ years of rated-performance service with minimal maintenance.

Production

Manufacturing Process

CPVC pipe is extruded from chlorinated PVC compound on high-speed twin-screw extrusion lines with vacuum sizing calibration, online laser diameter monitoring and closed-loop wall-thickness control. Each length of CPVC pipe is inkjet-coded with size, schedule, batch number and production date for full traceability.

Quality Control & Testing

Every production lot of CPVC pipe is released only after: hydrostatic pressure testing of sample lengths at multiples of the rated pressure; Vicat softening temperature verification confirming heat performance above the 93°C service level; flattening and impact resistance tests; and 100% dimensional checks of outside diameter and SCH40/SCH80 wall thickness against ASTM F441 tolerances. Test records are filed by inkjet batch code and are available to buyers on request.

Raw Material

CPVC pipe is produced by post-chlorinating PVC resin, which raises its chlorine content and lifts both the heat-resistance and chemical-resistance envelope well beyond PVC-U while retaining the same non-rusting, non-scaling behavior. We use only virgin, lead-free-stabilized CPVC compound; UV-stabilized compound is available for outdoor storage, and properly installed CPVC pipe systems are designed for 50+ years of service at rated temperature and pressure.

Applications

  • Domestic & commercial hot and cold water supply — including building hot-water recirculation loops, served by the same CPVC pipe series as the plant's process lines for one material, one jointing method and full spares commonality.
  • Chemical processing & corrosive fluid transfer — electroplating, pickling and heated rinse lines at 60–80°C in metal-finishing plants, where SCH80 CPVC pipe replaces steel pipework so no corrosion particles drop into process baths and no descaling is required.
  • Industrial cooling & heating loops — heated rinse and circulating systems joined quickly with CPVC pipe solvent cement during normal maintenance windows, with no hot work needed.
  • Food, pharmaceutical & utility lines — non-corroding, non-scaling CPVC pipe where media must stay clean from the utility connection to the process point.
