Product Overview

The HDPE electro fusion reducer tee branches a PE100 water main into a smaller diameter line through three electro fusion sockets. Two sockets match the main diameter and one socket is reduced for the branch, so the fitting performs a tee branch and a size reduction in one piece. Available from DN 50 to DN 315 mm with PN10 to PN16 ratings, the HDPE electro fusion reducer tee is the standard choice for buried potable water networks where a smaller branch takeoff is required.

Branch Size Reduction: The branch socket is smaller than the run, so the HDPE electro fusion reducer tee combines a branch and a size reduction in one fitting.
One Piece Moulded: The reducer tee is injection moulded as a single body, so there is no welded seam at the branch junction.
Three Electro Fusion Sockets: All three connections use fused joints, so the branch and the run are permanently leak tight.
No Metal Insert: The electro fusion reducer tee keeps polyethylene throughout, so there is no corrosion at the branch junction.
Full PE100 Pressure: The reducer tee carries the same PN rating as the main pipe, so the branch does not reduce system pressure capacity.
Maintenance Free: All three fused joints are permanent, so the HDPE electro fusion reducer tee needs no bolts or gaskets at the branch.

Production

Raw Material

The HDPE electro fusion reducer tee is moulded from virgin PE100 compound rated MRS 10.0 per ISO 4427-3, with the resin lot recorded for full traceability from pellet to fitting.

Molding Process

Each electro fusion reducer tee is injection moulded in one shot with three resistance coils pre positioned in the socket walls; the branch socket bore is reduced concentrically and the branch angle is held to 90 degrees per ISO 4427-3 dimensions.

Quality Control

Every batch of HDPE electro fusion reducer tees is gauged for all three socket diameters, ovality, coil resistance and branch angle, then sample welded and pressure tested to 1.5 times rated pressure before release; each fitting carries a batch code traceable to the raw resin lot.

Applications

Service line takeoffs use the HDPE electro fusion reducer tee to branch a smaller distribution line from the trunk main without a separate reducer.
Distribution branches install the electro fusion reducer tee where a lateral is smaller than the main, because the one piece body carries full pressure at the branch.
Water treatment plant branches use the HDPE electro fusion reducer tee to feed a smaller line to a treatment unit off the main header.
