The HDPE Floating Fish Cage is a complete turnkey floating aquaculture cage system manufactured from PE100 HDPE and marine-grade netting for commercial fish farming. Unlike galvanized steel cages that corrode after a few years, every HDPE Floating Fish Cage uses virgin PE100 compound with carbon black for UV stability and slow crack growth resistance, giving the cage frame a 15-20 year service life in seawater or freshwater.

Each HDPE Floating Fish Cage is supplied as a complete kit - floating pipe frame, handrail pipe, standing pipe, walkway panel, injection-moulded brackets, tees, pins, stoppers and mooring system - ready for assembly on site. Standard sizes range from 8 m to 40 m diameter in circular or square geometry, with custom diameters and depths produced to project specification. The netting is PE knotless or PE knotted depending on the species and current conditions.

Production

Raw Material

Frame pipe is extruded from virgin PE100 HDPE compound with 2-3% carbon black masterbatch for UV protection, tested to ISO 4427 before extrusion. Brackets, tees, pins and stoppers are injection-moulded from PE100 for consistent wall thickness and impact resistance, so every HDPE Floating Fish Cage component shares the same material pedigree as the connected pipe.

Molding Process

The HDPE Floating Fish Cage frame is assembled from butt-fusion welded pipe sections on shore before launch, or section-welded on the water for large diameters. Brackets, tees and connection points are pre-fitted on shore for fast on-site assembly, and all fusion welds follow ISO 21307 procedure so the welded frame performs as one continuous structure.

Quality Control

Every pipe length is hydrostatically tested at 1.5 times rated pressure before leaving the factory. Injection-moulded components are dimension-checked against drawings, pin hole tolerances are verified for consistent pin fit, and netting is tested for mesh size and breaking strength - giving the finished fish cage a documented quality trail from raw material to shipment.
