Product Overview

The HDPE Fish Cage Stopper & Pin are the fastener components that lock brackets, tees and pipe sections together on an HDPE floating fish cage. The Stopper clips onto the pipe end to prevent the Pin from slipping out, while the Pin passes through the bracket or tee and the pipe to form a rigid pin-lock connection - no bolts, no nuts and no welding at the cage site.

Two types of Pin are produced: Pin (dowel) for bracket-to-pipe and tee-to-pipe connections, and a standard Pin for general cage frame assembly. The HDPE Stopper is injection-moulded from PE100 and clips onto the pipe end to retain the pin head. A specialized Stopper Welding Machine is available to pre-fuse stoppers onto pipe ends on shore, making on-site fish cage assembly even faster.

Complete assembly toolkit: Stopper welding machines and butt fusion machines from 63 mm to 400 mm are available, so a farm can equip its crew for full shore-side cage pre-assembly.

Production

Raw Material

Stoppers are injection-moulded from PE100 HDPE compound with carbon black for UV stability. Pins are machined from steel bar or moulded from PE100 depending on customer specification, so the fastener set can be matched to the corrosion policy of each fish farming site.

Molding Process

Stoppers are injection-moulded for uniform wall thickness and consistent clip retention, while pins are CNC-machined or compression-moulded to precise diameter tolerance. The Stopper Welding Machine uses butt-fusion technology to pre-fuse weld-on stoppers onto pipe ends under controlled temperature and pressure.

Quality Control

Pin diameter tolerance is checked on every batch, stopper clip retention force is tested, and PE100 material certification is provided per shipment - so the fastener set performs identically across every fish cage a farm builds.
